Authorities in New Port Richey announced a crash involving a van and a Pasco County Fire engine.
The crash took place not far from the intersection of State Road 52 and Altoona Avenue in the afternoon.
Three passengers in the van were critically injured in the crash. Two of the injured passengers had to be flow to an area hospital for treatment while the third was taken by ambulance.
Two fire fighters from the Truck were also injured but with non-life threatening injuries. The fire truck was from Station 21, though it was not yet announced if the truck was responding to an emergency during the crash.
