According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one person was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Roosevelt blvd.
The accident took place as sixty-five year old Barbara Ronacher from Clearwater was eastbound on Roosevelt blvd. in the left lane closing on the intersection with 62nd street north.
At the same time, thirty-five year old Andrew Gramza from Trinity was heading west on Roosevelt boulevard also approaching the intersection with 62nd street N.
At roughly 1:00 p.m. Ronacher attempted to make a left turn crossing Roosevelt blvd., onto 62nd Street North. During the turn, Ronacher drove directly into the path of the oncoming Dodge Challenger driven by Gramza.
Ronacher’s vehicle crashed into the passenger side of the Dodge Challenger at speed.
Ronacher died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Gramza suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital for medical treatment.
