Tampa Police announced a fatal motorcycle accident on Bayshore Blvd.
The crash happened as a male motorcyclist and his female passenger were riding a Black Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Bayshore Blvd. At roughly 2:30 a.m., the rider lost control of the motorcycle after striking a curb.
The impact with the curb threw both the rider and his female passenger from the motorcycle onto the roadway and the motorcycle came to rest near the intersection with Willow Avenue.
Both rider and passenger were taken to Tampa General, where at 3 in the morning the rider was pronounced dead.
Authorities have continued to investigate why the motorcyclist collided with curb.
