Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash in east Pasco County.
The Accident took place as thirty three year old Tiffanie Hughes of Winter Haven was driving a 2016 Toyota 4-Runner on State Road 54 roughly halfway between Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel.
At approximately three thirty in the afternoon, for reasons unknow, Hughes crossed the center line of SR54 and drove directly into the path of an oncoming Mazda CX-9.
The two SUVs collided head-on and Hughes and her two passengers, both children, where taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Hughes later died of her injuries.
The driver of the Mazda CX-9, Seventeen year old Koosh Patel of Wesley Chapel and his passenger were not seriously injured in the crash.
