Largo Florida – According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, one person was killed after a car accident on Belcher Road.
The crash took place as 84 year old Madge Gilbert from Largo drove her Mercury Marquis on South Belcher Road.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. Gilbert crashed into a Mercury Sable driven by forty seven year old John Medley. After the initial collision with Medley’s sedan, Gilbert drove across traffic lanes and crashed into a utility pole finally coming to a stop.
Gilbert was severely injured in the crash and flown to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg for treatment, where she later died from her injuries.
