According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol a motorcyclist and their passenger were killed during a crash.
The crash took place at roughly twenty minutes before 10:p.m. as a 40 year old man and his 24 year old female passenger were riding a motorcycle on Seminole Boulevard center lane approaching the intersection with 114th Avenue N.
At the same time motorist 66 year old Daniel McLaughlin of Largo Florida was driving his 2015 Volkswagen Golf on 114th Avenue N., and attempted to cross Seminole Boulevard as the motorcyclist was heading down the center lane.
The Volkswagon Golf collided with the front of the motorcycle and both vehicles stopped in the median after the crash.
Suffering severe injuries in the crash, both motorcyclist and passenger were flown to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment where they died from their injuries.
Motorist Daniel McLaughlin sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Largo Medical Center for treatment.
FHP stated that both the motorcyclist and his passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
