Florida Highway Patrol announced a deadly red-light crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (SR 574).
The report states that fifty-seven year old motorist Donna Exum from Plant City was heading westbound driving a Toyota SUV on SR 574 towards the interchange with I-4.
At the same time also westbound, twenty seven year old Vance Eldridge from Tampa was riding his motorcycle following some distance behind Eldridge.
At the intersection with the I-4 ramp Exum turned left onto the I-4 ramp under a green turn signal. Eldridge failed to stop after the arrow turn signal turned red and entered the same intersection colliding with the Toyota SUV.
The collision caused Eldridge to cross the lanes into the eastbound traffic where he crashed into another vehicle.
Eldridge was transported by first responders to Tampa General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
